Life sync privacy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

What Life sync is. A private tool that moves the user's own health and phone-use data between their own Android phone and their own computer, using a "Life sync" folder in their own Google Drive.

What it accesses in Google Drive. Only the files it creates itself, through Google's drive.file permission. It cannot see, read or change any other file in your Drive.

What data is stored there. Sleep, heart rate and session readings from the Zenith Ring app, and screen-time counts from the Screen Time app (minutes and opens per app, unlocks, notification counts; never the content of screens or notifications). It also keeps copies of the dashboard's summary and app updates for the phone to read.

Who can see it. Only you, the owner of the Google account. Refine Tune does not receive, store, sell or share this data, and it is not used for advertising or to train AI models. Files are moved to your computer and then deleted from the folder.

Google user data. Life sync's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing it. Delete the "Life sync" folder in Google Drive and remove Life sync's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Uninstalling the apps removes everything they keep on the phone.
